Voting for the European Parliament will take place on 23 May.

The Notice of Election has been published for this election

Key Dates:

  • For persons not already registered to vote, the deadline to register for this election is Tuesday 7 May, register online 
  • Postal voting applications need to be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer, Council Offices, High Street, Coleford by 5pm Wednesday 8 May, you can download an application from your vote matters website
  • Proxy applications (allowing somebody you trust to vote on your behalf) need to be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer, Council Offices, High Street, Coleford by 5pm Wednesday 15 May you can download an application from your vote matters website


Forest of Dean District Council - Newent & Taynton Ward

The election for Newent & Taynton Ward (postponed from 2 May) is scheduled to take place on Thursday 20 June 2019.

The details for all validly nominated candidates for the original poll will automatically be transferred across, however any new candidates may submit nomination papers.

Bromsberrow & Redmarley Parish Councils

Vacancies exist for both Bromsberrow & Redmarley Parish Council due to insufficient nominations submitted for the May elections. There are six vacancies for each Parish Council. If we receive more nominations than the number of vacancies, the poll will take place on Thursday 20 June 2019
