Aims and objectives

The Councils are seeking opportunities for innovation and partnerships with the aim of engaging with others in the public, private and voluntary sectors, especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SME's) to balance two clear priorities:

  • Delivering quality and efficiency
  • Developing and embracing social responsible and sustainable procurement, by engaging with local and regional suppliers to promote the local economy and taking account of the social, economic and environmental impact of spending decisions
