Christmas collections

Our waste and recycling crews are working hard throughout the Christmas period to collect from our district's properties.

There's more waste than usual at this time of year, which means crews may need to return to the depot more often to unload. Collection rounds also change to accommodate bank holidays, and some crews may be working routes they're less familiar with.

If we haven't collected from your property when scheduled to, please use this page for updates - we'll be there as soon as we can. Please don't leave containers out overnight.

Christmas tree collection

Christmas trees will be collected for all households (including those without a current garden waste licence) on their scheduled garden waste collection day between Monday 12th and Friday 23rd January 2026. Households without a bin can place their tree at the kerbside. Please reduce trees to a maximum of 1.3 metre sections to help crews, removing all decorations and stands first.
